All the art classes talked about rituals and routines. These older kids were able to make some art as well! We did a collaborative game, designing a new imagined object by combining two randomly selected items. The students were coming up with loads of zany functions for the flashlight watermelon, or the bee's nest toolbox.
Below is a single sheet of what I hope to accomplish with instructional time this year with 4th and 5th grades. LRSD did not create this PDF, but it is in line with the district's curriculum scope and sequence.
